INSPIRED by the medal heroics of Gemma Gibbons in the Olympic judo?
Well, her former club and two others in the area are providing free taster sessions for youngsters next month (September).
Greenwich's Metro Club, where Gibbons learned her skills, along with Northbrook Judo in Lewisham and New Cross Judo Club are hosting the sessions.
And if you enjoy the sport's spills and thrills, there is also an option to sign up for a 10-week beginner's course.
No prior experience of judo or any sport is required. Attendees are also welcome to bring a family member or friend.
