FIREFIGHTERS are working to put out a fire in a hay barn in Sutton at Hone which has been burning since late last night (August 19).
Four crews were called to the blaze in the open sided building, which is around 40m by 20m, at around 10.30pm and have been working in shifts since then.
The incident in Parsonage Lane was scaled down at about 1.30am leaving only two crews fighting the flames.
They are expected to be there for much of the day turning over the hay and straw and damping it down and making sure the fire is completely out.
