TOM DALEY’S book signing at Waterstone’s in Bluewater is full to capacity today (August 16).
The diver, who has just been awarded fantastic A-Levels including A* in photography, A in Spanish and an A in maths, is signing books from 12.30pm for the fans who have turned up to see him.
Due to the Olympic diver’s huge fan base, officers from Kent Police were assisting security staff with crowd control at Bluewater even before the book signing began.
The 18-year-old wrote on Twitter: "Huge crowds @tweetbluewater Thanks soo much for supporting my book! I am only here til 2.30 so hope I can see as many of u as possible!"
Waterstones at Bluewater tweeted previously that people coming to the book signing must have a Waterstones receipt for the book in order to gain access.
Twitter account Kent 999s wrote: “Police called to Bluewater to get people to leave if they don't have tickets to see Olympic bronze medallist swimmer, Tom Daley.”
Daley fan Alicia AJ Hawkins also wrote on the social networking website: “LOL police got called to the Tom Daley signing to remove the girls hahaha.”
