A RARE opportunity to see an extensive exhibition by one of the icons of twentieth century American photography is coming to Greenwich.
The National Maritime Museum will host Ansel Adams: Photography from the Mountains to the Sea from November 9 to April 28.
The showcase is a chance to look a range of the pioneers pictures, collected from the Ansel Adams Archive and private and public collectors in the US, including his first picture which was taken at the tender age of 14 in 1915.
Crashing waterfalls, dramatic rapids, geysers, placid ponds and raging rivers all feature in the exhibition, which focuses on the artist’s fascination with water.
Go along any day between 10am and 5pm from November 9 to April 28 – excluding Christmas and Boxing day. Tickets cost £7 or £6 for concessions.
