A DARTFORD youngster had the experience of a lifetime when he got to meet his football idols.
Luke King was a McDonald’s player escort at The FA Community Shield, which saw Manchester City beat Chelsea 3-2.
The eight-year-old won the chance to walk out alongside his football heroes after entering a national competition on the McDonald’s KickStart website.
Luke, who walked out hand in hand with Eden Hazard, said: "It was such an exciting day.
"I met Sir Geoff Hurst at the training ground in the morning, before going into the stadium to practice and then walk out with the players.
"The best part was waiting in the tunnel with all of the Chelsea and Manchester City players around us and the noise that the fans made when we walked out."
