A THIRTY-THREE year old computer programmer has been jailed after being caught attempting to sell cocaine in Bromley.
Anthony Davis, of Station Road, Sidcup, was sentenced to 18 months at Croydon Crown Court on August 7.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine and one count of possession of cannabis.
At 9.10pm on January 16 2011 plain-clothes police officers spotted a stationary Renault Clio with its lights on in London Road, Bromley.
While they were speaking to the driver, Davis, and beginning the search of the vehicle they were approached by a man who said he was meeting someone in a silver Renault Clio.
The man admitted he was going to buy a gram of cocaine from Davis.
A wrap of cocaine was found hidden inside the packaging of a cigarette packet, along with other wraps of cocaine secreted around the car.
He was arrested for possession with intent to supply cocaine.
A search of Davis's home address was made, where cannabis and more cocaine was recovered.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested at the address as she was smoking cannabis when officers arrived.
She subsequently received a police caution.
Davis denied the offences throughout, changing his plea before the jury was sworn in at his trial.
Chief Inspector Darren Murphy, from Bromley police, said: "We will continue to target those involved in the supply of illegal drugs, they are not welcome in Bromley and their actions will not be tolerated.
“If anyone has any information on the supply of illegal drugs please inform your Safer Neighbourhood Team officers or Crimestoppers anonymously".
This follows 10 arrests made last month as part of a drugs swoop by Bromley police.
