A SWANSCOMBE man has been charged with trying to bring £400,000-worth of cocaine into the country.
Paul Mounger, aged 22, of Alamein Road, was charged with attempting to import cocaine.
He appeared at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court today (August 10) where he did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court next Friday (August 17).
Border Force officers in Ramsgate seized around four kilos of cocaine at the ferry terminal on Thursday.
It was found behind a false bulkhead on a British-registered motorhome arriving from Ostend.
Officers estimated the drugs could have had a value of around £400,000 when cut and sold on the street.
