BRAZILIAN performers for the closing ceremony have been rehearsing in Deptford, it was revealed today.
Rio 2016 will include volleyball on Capcabana beach, along with golf and rugby for the first time.
And organisers said today they wanted to show there was more to the country than the clichés during their eight minutes at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday.
Along with 82 drummers, they promised a feast of Brazilian music and appearances from some of their biggest stars.
And in the past week, they have been rehearsing in Convoys Wharf, Deptford, to add finishing touches to the show.
Stars on the night include supersize rapper Bnegao, top model Alessandro Ambrosio and dancing street cleaner Renato Somso.
It all sounds better than Boris on his Beijing bus four years ago.
