A MAN who punched a partygoer in the face leaving him comatose has been locked up for four years.
David Forster hit a man after complaining about noise coming from a birthday party in Thamesmead on March 31.
The victim fell backwards onto a pavement leaving him with injuries which sent him into a coma.
Forster, 37, of no fixed abode, had previously tipped a bag of dirt onto cars outside the gathering.
He was sentenced to four years in prison at Woolwich Crown Court on July 26.
He had previously pleaded guilty to GBH.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Darren Bowden said: "Forster is a man with a violent past.
"His aggressive and disproportionate actions have meant that a man is now facing a lengthy recovery in hospital.
"I am really pleased with the result of this investigation and hope the sentence will provide some comfort to the victim and his family.
"I hope that Forster will find time to reflect on his violent actions while behind bars."
