IT WAS full steam ahead when a museum opened its doors for the second steaming day of the year.
Crossness Industrial Engines Museum, in Belvedere Road, Abbey Wood, invited families to see the on-going restoration of the Victorian pumps.
An exhibition of steam-driven wagons, steam traction engines and vintage cars were also on display.
Volunteers have worked hard restoring the site and Victorian pumps with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund, English Heritage and the Homes and Communities Agency.
Work has already been completed on the roofs of all the buildings and the internal walls of the Boiler House have been removed to reveal the original building.
