EVERY girl dreams of a fairytale wedding and for one Disney obsessed woman it became a reality.

Julie Webb-Flint and her builder husband, Jason Flint, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows on Saturday (July 28) with a Disney theme.

Around 107 guests dressed up as characters to attend the blessing at St Mary's Church, in London Road, Greenhithe, with even the reverend taking part as Little John from Robin Hood.

Mrs Webb-Flint, of The Crescent, Greenhithe, said: "We had our original honeymoon at Disney World in America, we are Disney fanatics it's something that's in our blood.

"It's the feel good factor, you only have to see the characters and they make you smile."

She added: "The theme started off as a bit of a joke but everyone loved it and it went on from there.

"We were excited to see what they would come as.

"Most people rang up before to check what other characters were going but some people left it as a surprise."

The couple, both aged 42, transformed into Mickey and Minnie Mouse on their special day and were joined by their sons Liam, aged 17, and 15-year-old Luke, who went as Donald Duck and Goofy.

Mr Flint's parents dressed up as Shrek and Fiona while Rapunzel, Cinderella, Snow White and seven dwarfs also made an appearance.

As Mrs Flint walked down the aisle to the traditional wedding march, the Mickey Mouse theme tune kicked in and she skipped and danced the rest of the way.

The couple, who both say their favourite film is Jungle Book, left the ceremony to Shrek's I'm a Believer.

Mrs Flint said: "We had a Minnie Mouse cake, table decorations and posters to continue the theme.

"All our Christmas decorations tend to be Disney and we have ornaments, teapots, cups and plates too.

"We are a bit of a freak really."

She added: “It was a fantastic day.

“The best bit for us was when we went to the local park for a group photo, which we did when we first got married.

“It looked like everyone was marching up to the Magic Kingdom.”
