YOUNGSTERS can travel back in time and meet the Victorian scientist and electrical pioneer Michael Faraday, who paved the way for the creation of the National Grid.
Visitors to Charles Darwin's home Down House can enjoy the electrifying experience from August 6 to 10.
They can find out about Faraday's ideas and learn about the story of electricity included how he generated electricity with magnets and how the earliest batteries were made.
There will be workshops throughout each day, using pipes, batteries, lights and magnets.
Admission is £9.90 for adults, £8.90 for concessions, £5.90 for children and £25.70 for a family ticket. English Heritage members free.
