THE mother of a Sidcup man who was killed in Nottingham has raised £1,000 for a charity that has supported her since her son’s death.
Robert Holland, 36, died after being punched by cage fighter Liam Rockley in October last year.
Since his death, Mr Holland’s mother Therese, of Chester Road, has been supported by the charity Support after Murder and Manslaughter (SAMM).
She raised the cash by holding a raffle for friends and family, with prizes including a SWAG bracelet, three-month gym membership and tickets to meet boyband JLS.
The 61-year-old said: "I really can't believe the support we got from people.
"We sold 125 tickets and had roughly 30 donated prizes.
"Everybody thoroughly enjoyed it, it was absolutely spectacular."
