A RENOVATED area has been opened in a Bromley park.
The new spot in South Hill Woods Park, Westmoreland Road, was wildly overgrown and fenced off, but has been bought back to life by the Friends of South Hill Wood and Kingswood Glen group.
It now has new trees, benches and a path for wheelchair users to enjoy the surroundings.
At the official opening on Saturday (July 21), visitors took part in a range of activities including nature walks, chainsaw carving demonstrations and scavenger hunts.
They also enjoyed performances from a local band and a children’s choir.
Dot Kilsby, chairman of the Friends of South Hill Wood and Kingswood Glen group, said: “We hope that the work we have done here will encourage people to become actively involved in the protection and development of our local woodlands and parks.”
