With just a week to go until the ballots are closed for the Glades Shop for Schools campaign, the leader board is as close as ever.
Running until Tuesday (July 31), five primary schools have been given the opportunity to win much needed sports equipment with the help of Bromley shoppers.
Pickhurst Junior School is maintaining the number one spot with St George’s Bickley CE Primary School racing on in second. Southborough Primary School has secured a comfortable third place whilst Oak Lodge Primary School is hot on its tail in fourth place and Keston Primary School on a steady rise in fifth.
The scheme makes every purchase at the Glades worth points – every £1 spent at the Glades is worth one point – and shoppers can allocate these to their chosen school.
To collect points, shoppers take their receipt to the information desk on the upper mall. There, the receipts are stamped and returned and points vouchers for their chosen school are handed out. Shoppers then post the vouchers in the in-centre post-box.
Maria Cooper, Marketing Manager at the Glades said: “With only a week to go the leader board is getting interesting. The school holidays are now in full swing and we’re inviting families and friends to get shopping and help their schools hit the number one spot. What a great way to end the school year in style.”
Every participating school wins prizes for the points they have earned throughout the Shop for Schools promotion. First prize is £1,000 worth of sports equipment.
