Local link: A former Forest Hill School pupil who was born in Lewisham.

Career high: Gold as part of the British U23 4 x 100m relay team at the European championships in 2007 and gold at the 2011 European team championships.
Sporting background: Burst onto the sprinting scene as a teenager, winning numerous titles and medals before breaking into the senior ranks in 2006.
Incredibly he put himself up for sponsorship on eBay last year to help his Olympic dream come true and has since received funding from the King of Shaves company.
He says: No-one would have said Great Britain would win the 4x100m in 2004, so you can’t write us off.
We say: If Britain can avoid any baton issues in the relay then they have a good shout of a top three placing.
