Pensioner dead after being hit by train near Beckenham Hill station
A MAN in his seventies died last night (July 23) after being hit by a train near Beckenham Hill station.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7.10pm and the pensioner was pronounced dead at the scene.
British Transport Police is preparing a report for the coroner.
The train involved was the 6.32pm Sevenoaks to Kentish Town service.
There were disruptions to train services because of the incident and the line was back in service at around 7.50pm.
