A JOBLESS 21-year-old has been remanded in custody after appearing in court yesterday (July 23) accused of trying to murder a man in Penge.
Luke Freeman-Roach, of Weighton Road, Penge, was charged with attempted murder after officers discovered a man in his 50s suffering from stab wounds in Anerley Road at about 4.35am on Sunday.
Freeman-Roach appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court yesterday and is in custody to be committed to Croydon Crown Court for trial on a date to be fixed.
The stabbed man remains in a south London hospital in a serious but stable condition and his wounds are not believed to be life threatening.
