A SENSORY garden has been opened to mark a primary school's 60th anniversary.
Cherry Orchard Primary in Rectory Field Crescent, Charlton, marked its very own jubilee with a special assembly and concert.
But the centrepiece was its new garden which was opened by Mayor of Greenwich Councillor David Grant.
Including mosaics created by the children and plaques with inspiring quotes, the facility was created by artists Jonny Stockbridge, with help from the pupils.
Acting head of school Louise Lynch said: "The whole school were there to watch the opening. It's been great to see them all using it."
Along with pupils and staff, the school was joined by ward councillors, governors and parents for its special day.
