ELDERLY people opened their doors to the public at their annual open day and fete.
Visitors to the Abbeyfield Bromley Society event browsed stalls selling home-made produce, bric-a-brac, books and plants accompanied by the music of the Bijou Trio.
The day in London Road, Bromley, ended with a raffle of prizes donated by businesses in the area.
More than £1,000 was raised which will go towards improving the welfare and providing social events for the society's residents.
Abbeyfield Bromley provides sheltered accommodation and companionship for elderly people.
Chairman Adrian Cory said: "We were delighted with the support we received for our open day which provides a great opportunity to invite the local community into our home."
