INSPECTORS from the RSPCA were called out this week to save a ginger kitten with his head trapped in the drainage hole of an industrial bin.
Kate Fletcher was called out to the incident at Sterling Gardens, New Cross, on July 19.
Once there, she quickly realised the unfortunate creature had his head trapped in a two inch hole in the bottom of the bin.
Two other kittens were also in the bin and inspector Fletcher lifted them straight out.
She said: "He was really wedged in there and it took a while to free him. Eventually I managed to get him out by using pet shampoo to make him slippery."
Inspector Fletcher checked him over and, as he was uninjured, he was returned to his family.
