ROAD safety posters designed by schoolchildren are now being displayed in Shorne village to educate motorists.
PCSO Peter Hylands, from Kent Police, created a competition for pupils at Shorne School, in Cob Drive, Gravesend, to remind road users of their safety and the effects bad driving has on the community.
The school agreed to pay for the posters to be made and the parish council contributed £100 towards prizes for the winners.
Successful students included Isabella Steggles and Hannah Mitchill, both aged seven, as well as Lauren Chapman and Zara Edeleanu, both 10.
PCSO Hylands said: "The competition was supported by all those involved and the children responded with incredible enthusiasm delivering some very imaginative designs.
"We hope all the children went home and told their parents about the competition which will have helped to spread the message about the traffic problems around the schools."
