TWO Sevenoaks District councillors have been granted £2,700 to make improvements to Bartholomew Park in Swanley.
Swanley White Oak ward councillor, Janet Sargeant, and Swanley St Mary's ward councillor, Mark Fittock, applied for the grant from the council's Big Community Fund.
The cash will provide a new bench, a bollard at the entrance to improve security and a contribution towards reducing the height of shrubs to make the park more open and inviting for residents to use.
Cabinet member for community grants, Councillor Pat Bosley, said: "This month's applications continue to show how local people are working with their District councillors to deliver projects that will benefit their local communities."
The deadlines for the next applications are August 6 and September 3.
