Man knocked unconscious after falling down bus stairs
BECKENHAM High Street was cordoned off for four hours last night after a man was knocked unconscious falling down the stairs of a bus.
The accident occurred when the bus had braked sharply at 7.51pm on a junction between Beckenham High Street and Burnhill Road.
The 31-year old was taken to Kings College Hospital, Camberwell, with a serious head injury.
However, he regained consciousness this morning and the hospital said he is expected to make a full recovery.
The road was closed between Cinema Roundabout and Kelsey Park Road between the time of the incident until 11.28pm.
