A GREENWICH MP is tying the knot with a fellow MP who used to be his parliamentary aide.

Labour MP for Greenwich and Woolwich Nick Raynsford will marry his long-term partner Alison Seabeck in a private ceremony in Greenwich this autumn.

The couple have been together for around six years and previously worked together for about 13 years when Ms Seabeck was Mr Raynsford’s adviser.

Both MPs are divorcees and between them have five daughters, a granddaughter and grandchild on the way.

Speaking to News Shopper, Mr Raynsford said: "It will be a private occasion in Greenwich."

Between wedding planning and parliamentary duties, Mr Raynsford can also be spied pulling pints at his local pub the Greenwich Union.

He will man the pumps on Monday as part of the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group - designed to promote pubs as hubs within the community and raise money for charity.
