BRITISH Transport Police (BTP) is appealing for witnesses after a man was hit with a glass bottle at Gravesend train station.
Officers have released CCTV images of three men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened on May 4 at 10.45pm.
The 28-year-old victim, from Gravesend, was standing with his friends close to the bike racks at the Rathmore Road side of the station, when three men approached them.
One of the trio suddenly became violent towards the group and head butted one of the victim’s friends.
In a bid to diffuse the situation the victim tried to pull the pair apart, but was hit on the back of the head with a glass bottle.
He was left bleeding heavily and requiring medical attention.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Jason Schweiger, said: "From viewing CCTV, we know that the group had entered the station from the direction of the town centre.
"Having spoken to witnesses, I am now keen to trace and speak to the men in these images in connection with the incident.
"The images aren't clear, but the men pictured are wearing distinct clothing which I hope someone will recognise.
"I believe they will have information which can assist the investigation."
