AIR observation posts have been set up in the borough as part of security for the Olympics.
The Ministry of Defence has confirmed that two of the 16 sites being used across London are on a tower block next to the Bertha James Day Centre in Masons Hill, Bromley and Bekesbourne Tower, off Chelsfield Lane, Orpington.
British Army and RAF Air Observers will be using the locations to provide warnings of unauthorised aircraft in air space over the capital.
They will be equipped with thermal imaging binoculars to detect suspicious activity in the sky.
Meanwhile around 50 tents have been pitched at the Langley Park Sports Club in Beckenham.
Neighbours believe they are being used to accommodate security personnel for the Games.
News Shopper is awaiting a response from LOCOG.
