THE area's newest theatre is lining up a host of events following its successful licence application.
Woolwich Grand Theatre in Wellington Street had its licence to show plays, films and live music and other activities approved by a Greenwich Council committee earlier this month.
The decision means events at the old cinema will step up a gear. On June 6 there will be a showing of Bafta winning film Wish You Were Here with a talk by lead actress Emily Lloyd.
Tickets for the show are £10 and can be paid on the door or by emailing info@thewoolwichgrandtheatre.com The theatre also hosts an indoor arts and craft market every Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
There is still room for stallholders and News Shopper customers can get a reduced starter rate. Call 020 8316 7660 for details.
