FEED or greed is the name of an awareness-raising art exhibition being run in Belvedere by students.

The University of East London has organised the event in association with the United Nations Photo Library and included images taken from areas of the world most affected by drought, food shortages and war.

A three-hour show on Saturday (March 24) from 5.30pm with talks from Father Thomas Dunton, chaplain of the university’s Catholic Society and one of the Brothers of St John from Canning Town, will precede a week-long exhibition in the upper function room at the Belvedere Hotel in Picardy Road.

Photographer Antonisia Schroder said: “This exhibition is a great way to really bring home to people the impact of the inequality that currently exists between our world’s poorest and the richest in countries like ours and the United States.

“It will be an opportunity to look at some brand new art created especially for this exhibition.”
