RESEARCHING family history has become one of the fastest-growing hobbies.
A workshop on the subject of genealogy, organised by Bexley's local studies and archive centre, attracted a full house.
More than 40 people turned out at the centre in the Central Library, Townley Road, Bexleyheath, for the event.
There was a workshop to advise people where and how to look for records and which are the most useful.
Members of the North West Kent Family History Society were on hand to share its database and offer advice.
Although much of the information is now on the internet and in other formats at the centre, manager Simon McKeown says contrary to popular impressions not all of the most useful information is on computer.
He added because the event had proved so popular, the centre would be running more workshops on the subject.
