JURORS in the Stephen Lawrence murder trial are considering their verdict for a second day.
Gary Dobson, aged 36, and David Norris, aged 35, deny murdering the black teenager in Well Hall Road, Eltham, back in 1993.
The Old Bailey trial, which began nearly six weeks ago, was brought following a cold case review which found new scientific evidence linking the two defendants to the killing.
Both men claim the evidence, found on clothing seized from their homes shortly after the murder, has been contaminated over the years.
This morning Judge Colman Treacy told the jury that if they could not reach a verdict today, they would be sent home at the earlier time of 4pm for the weekend.
Yesterday jurors spent 1hour and 40minutes deliberating before the end of the day.
