THE Met has today (December 14) released pictures of the 213 most wanted suspects for the August riots in a bid to catch them before Christmas.
With the public’s help in identifying culprits, the police have made 3,269 arrests for a variety of offences and 2,046 people have been charged or summonsed.
There was disorder across 22 of London’s boroughs, including Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich, and as of December 5, 3,877 crimes have been reported to the police.
Officers are appealing for people to look at the 213 images on the Met’s Flickr page to see if they recognise any of the suspects.
Operation Withern’s lead investigating officer Commander Steve Rodhouse said: "I would like to thank the public for continuing to assist us with this investigation, without their help positive identifications on several images would not have been made.
"Four months on from the disorder my team of officers remain absolutely committed to identifying, arresting and charging those involved in the criminality that took place.
"The investigation is a huge challenge and one that will continue for some time to come but I want to reassure London's communities that we are determined to bring those who committed these outrageous crimes to justice and more arrests will follow.
"I urge anyone with any information to come forward."
