AN INTERACTIVE exhibition brought the history of travel up to date.
Visitors to the In Town Without My Car Day could try historic bicycles, including a penny farthing, look at electric-powered vehicles and watch a balloon modeller.
The event in East Street, Bromley, which was sponsored by Bromley Council, marked the end of Alternative Travel Week, which aimed to make people use their cars less.
Event organiser Angus Culverwell said: "We have come a long way since penny farthings were ridden on a regular basis and those who tried to ride it would agree this is a good thing.
"Technology has moved on and the electric vehicles like those on show, along with cycling and walking, can offer us a brighter, healthier future."
