A PAEDOPHILE who groomed his victim and turned her against her mother has been jailed.
The Russian immigrant committed about 200 sexual offences against the girl when she was between 12-and-a-half and 14 from October 2002 to summer last year.
Croydon Crown Court heard Gabriel Craciun had built a relationship with the victim so she wanted to go to Romania with him.
Craciun, aged 37, of Hardes Terrace, Orpington, was found guilty after a six-week trial of nine charges of indecent assault and 10 of sexual activity with a child. He was acquitted of rape.
Sentencing him to eight-and-a-half years, Judge John Tanzer said: "What you did has had disastrous consequences.
"You indulged in full penetrative activity with her. You soured her relationship with her mother, as the evidence graphically showed.
"These are offences of the most serious nature, but you are in complete denial. She was a vulnerable child. You exploited her vulnerability."
