There were also a number of fellowships awarded on the day.
Tom Sutcliffe, counter-tenor and former opera critic for both the Guardian and the Evening Standard was awarded an honorary fellowship.
Former students of Rose Bruford College, Paulette Randall, writer and director, Ben Thomas, director, and Greg Hicks, actor, all received fellowships.
