Increased legislation and red tape have been named as the biggest obstacles estate agents face in a new survey.
The Team Association, a group representing independent agents, found 27 per cent believe unnecessary red tape is costing them large amounts of money and hampering the development of their businesses. However 71 per cent of these agents hopes stricter rules will ensure only strong, dedicated agents survive the market.
