FAMILIES took part in sumo wrestling and sipped tea in a Titantic tea room at a school's fun day.
Valley Primary School, Beckenham Lane, Shortlands, hosted the event to remind children the fun does not have to stop just because the summer holidays have.
More than 300 visitors also took in birds of prey, bouncy castles, face painting and karate displays.
The event raised £3,500 for the school's Parent Teacher Association, and is due to go towards paying for a hard surface area for sports including tennis and football.
Julia Garvey, who helped organise the September 16 event, said: "We were very busy all day and it really exceeded our expectations.
"It was such a huge success we are hoping to turn it into an annual event."
