The Rotary Club of Bromley, with many of the other clubs in the district, is supporting the Wheelchair Foundation.
Members certainly hope to make a difference, leading an effort to create awareness of the needs of people with disabilities.
We want to promote the joy of giving, create global friendship and deliver a wheelchair to every person in the world who needs one.
More than 100 million people worldwide are in need of a wheelchair but cannot afford one.
For each £50 donated we can provide a new wheelchair.
Rotary Club of Bromley hopes to be able to supply 100 to be delivered directly from the factory to the point of need.
If you want to help this cause please send a cheque, made payable to The Rotary Club of Bromley and send it for the attention of Peter Halligan, 66 Addison Road, Bromley, Kent, BR2 9HQ.
Since March 2001, Rotary clubs worldwide have sponsored more than 100,000 wheelchairs to more than 100 countries so far.
If you are interested in joining The Rotary Club of Bromley, please call Peter Halligan on 020 8290 9004.
