A WEEK-LONG online poll was held to decide the design of a skate park for Central Park in Dartford.
More than 200 skaters, skateboarders and BMX riders voted on Dartford Council's website to pick their favourite of two designs for the park's new facility.
Gravity Engineering Ltd came out on top, securing itself a contract to build the skatepark, which includes a skate bowl and plaza.
Work will begin shortly and the skating facility is due to be completed before Christmas.
Portfolio holder for sport and leisure Councillor Patsy Thurlow said: "The borough's skaters have been involved in the skate park decision-making process from the start and we've really valued their input."
