A PENSIONER has died after breaking her neck when the bus on which she was travelling, braked violently.
Violet Stevens, 80, from Blackheath fell over when the 132 bus braked as it travelled along Blackfen Road, near the junction with Ramillies Road, Blackfen, at about 11.30am on September 15.
She was rushed by ambulance to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, but died four days later. An inquest into her death was opened on September 20 and adjourned to a date to be fixed.
A post-mortem examination revealed she had died from a broken neck.
Now police want anyone who was on the bus when the incident occurred, to call them on 020 8285 1574.
