FRIENDS of teenager Julian "Buster" Knight, who was stabbed to death in Thamesmead in July, flocked to a fun day in his memory.
Organised by Thamesmead resident Sandy Applin, guests included Buster's mother Michelle and MP John Austin.
Abbey Primary School, Lensbury Way, Thamesmead, lent its field and shopkeepers, businesses and residents rallied round offering their support.
Teenagers also raised cash with activities such as head shaves and leg waxes The event raised more than £400. The family has yet to decide what to do with the money and people at the fun day were asked to contribute suggestions as to how it could be spent.
Buster, 16, of Lensbury Way, died from a single stab wound to his neck on July 15.
Stelios Paraschakis, aged 19, from Thamesmead, is awaiting trial for the stabbing.
