A CYCLIST has criticised water bosses for taking too long to fix a "dangerous leak".
Ralph Lawson, 33, says water has been coming from a manhole cover at the junction of John Wilson Street and Artillery Place in Woolwich for more than two months.
Mr Lawson, of Connaught Mews, Woolwich, says he contacted Thames Water a month ago, but nothing was done.
The credit analyst cycles to work in central London and says the water makes it hard to turn right at the junction.
He said: "This junction is in a dangerous condition. It's on a hill and hazardous to turn right from Artillery Place on to John Wilson Street.
"It's absurd Thames Water asks us to conserve water, yet has done nothing about this."
A spokesman for Thames Water said: "This leak is in a busy junction and we could not dig the road up immediately. We planned the traffic management with Greenwich Council and it was fixed on Saturday."
