GET skinny models off the catwalks - that is the verdict of more than three quarters of News Shopper voters.
After hype over the effect waif-like models have on young women's self-esteem and image, we asked should skinny models be banned from catwalks?
Forty-seven per cent of people who voted in our poll said yes, they should be banned, because it sets a bad example.
Another 28.8 per cent of voters agreed with replacing tiny-framed fashion models with curvier women because the skinny look does not reflect what 'real' people look like.
In contrast, just 15.2 per cent of people said skinny models should not be banned from catwalks, the no' vote split evenly between the skinny look just being part of the fashion industry and the media being more to blame for hype over weight than the models.
Another 9.1 per cent of voters said they did not care!
