A DANCER’S panto success is set to be an inspiration for pupils at her former school.
Ex-Charles Darwin School pupil Emma Jewell has secured a contract as the principal dancer in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, the forthcoming show at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley.
In this role she will be starring alongside Patsy Kensit, Barney Harwood, David Spinx and Sarah Lark.
The 21-year-old chose dance as one of her GCSE options at the school in Jail Lane, Biggin Hill, before going on to get a degree this year from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance, Deptford.
She said: “I am delighted to be performing in my first professional pantomime at the Churchill as it is my local theatre.”
And Louise Rees, Miss Jewell’s GCSE dance teacher and deputy headteacher at Charles Darwin, said: “It will be inspirational for our current students to see what is possible with dedication and hard work.”
