TWIN brothers have been sentenced to 14 months in prison for burgling a mobile phone shop in August’s Woolwich riots.
Bungling brothers Shane and Wayne Chambers, 33, both of Nightingale Vale, Woolwich, were arrested and charged on August 27 after a police community support officer recognised them.
Their CCTV images had been circulated and running on a big screen in Woolwich town centre after the disorder.
Both pleaded guilty to burglary of the T Mobile shop in Powis Street and were sentenced on October 11 at Inner London Crown Court.
Detective Constable Mark Gilchrist, from the Greenwich Operation Withern team said: "Our team is looking at hours of CCTV, checking images frame by frame.
“We are pursuing all investigative leads in order to catch those involved".
