WITNESSES are still wanted after an adventure playground was set ablaze during the riots.
It happened on August 9 at Home Park in Sydenham some time between 4am and 5am.
Information already received by the police leads them to believe that a number of people entered the playground, on Winchfield Road, and set it alight.
Around £40,000 worth of damage was caused to the structure, which was relatively new and had proved popular with youngsters.
Superintendent Lisa Crook from Lewisham Police said: "The damage that has been caused to Home Park adventure playground will undoubtedly have an impact on the community.
“This mindless act of vandalism now means that the young people in the area can no longer make use of this facility which was much needed." Anyone with information should call police on 020 8284 8339 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
