STUDENTS in north Kent are celebrating outstanding GCSE results this morning.
9.20: The Leigh Technology Academy, in Green Street Green Road, Dartford, is celebrating its best ever GCSE results.
It recorded 95 per cent of students achieving five or more A* to C grades with 18 per cent scoring five or more A* and A grades.
Outstanding pupils included David White who gained 10 A* and two A grades as well as Ryan Cheal and Scott Rudd who both achieved eight A* and four A grades.
Principal Pete Finnegan said: “The Leigh community is ecstatic about what our students have achieved.
“The Leigh has a culture which inspires every student and gets the very best out of each one.
“These results are the culmination of much effort by a talented group of people - students, staff and parents really have worked in true partnership and taken attainment to new heights. A very proud day for us all.”
