ABANDONED and untaxed cars removed from the streets face being destroyed.
Thirty vehicles were seized across Gravesham in a four-day operation.
Several of the cars are 01, 02, and 03 plates and these are expected to be claimed by their owners, who will have to pay a fine and a release fee.
If they are not they will be "cubed" - crushed into a square shape - along with other vehicles which were seized.
The initiative, named Operation Cubit, is run by the DVLA, Kent Police, Kent County Council, Kent fire and Gravesham Council.
The vehicles were seized between August 29 and September 1.
