THERE was no danger of summer holiday boredom for one group of young people.
The teenagers from Bexley and Greenwich spent a week getting stuck into an environmental project in Kent.
They stayed at the Margaret McMillan environmental study centre in Wrotham.
While there they cleared ponds, created new pathways and brought the wild garden under control.
They also did a number of smaller maintenance tasks.
The young people were all from Greenwich police cadets and Respond Community Matters.
Respond project co-ordinator Simon Platt said: "It is a shame more people in the community don't get to see and hear about the positive achievements made by young people."
The McMillan centre is visited by thousands of school children every year.
While there they get the chance to study nature up close.
