A FAMILY who set up home on a village field could be granted temporary permission to stay.
Councillors at Farningham Parish Council have been discussing the use of Hill Top Farm, London Road, where a gypsy family has parked its caravans.
The site had been refused planning permission for 10 caravans in 2007 on the grounds that it was on the greenbelt and in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
But Sevenoaks District Council could now grant temporary permission to the travellers’ site for one extended family to use for three years.
Applications to change the land’s use from grazing to residential were refused in 2000 and 2004.
